October 24, 2019

Prof. Dr. Michael Gebel held a presentation on “The effects of education-to-work transitions on youth’s subjective well-being“ at the Institute of Social Science (ISS) at the University of Tokyo. In his talk he motivated the SECCOPA research and outlined the research agenda, also with respect to Japan. He showed first evidence from his current SECCOPA research on the subjective well-being consequences of experiencing different sequence patterns of unemployment and temporary employment during the transition from education to work using data from the Socio-Economic-Panel (SOEP).
